Empowering Wellness: An Insight into Studio Exhale

Empowering Wellness: An Insight into Studio Exhale

Bowlsome visited Studio Exhale's opening weekend to explore Adelaide’s newest hub for holistic wellness in Thebarton, founded by Chloe Robinson. Inspired by her personal wellness journey and a transformative retreat experience, Chloe envisioned Studio Exhale as Adelaide’s premier wellness space, blending traditional practices with modern luxury. Located on George Street and designed by interior designer Crystal Bailey, the studio offers reformer Pilates, breath-work sessions, massages, reiki alignment, and advanced wellness technologies like an Infrared Sauna and Cold Plunge pool, all aimed at prioritising self-care and well-being. Exactly what Bowlsome is all about!

Chloe Robinson-

FOUNDER, STUDIO EXHALE

We sat down with Chloe, to find out more about Studio Exhale:

  1. Chloe, can you tell us a bit about yourself and what inspired you to start Studio Exhale?

"I’m a single mum of 2 little ones and a gorgeous miniature labradoodle. My mental health issues from a very young age, pressures of children (suffering both pre and post-natal depression) and owning a business left me in complete burnout, always putting myself last. Then a pivotal change in my life following the passing of my grandfather led me to look deeper into my life and my marriage, which led to a separation. This afforded me time to focus on myself and healing. A trip to Salt Recovery, a retreat-like place in Queensland, for 3 weeks, where I experienced holistic healing, ignited my desire to help others. Alongside breathwork and regular sessions with Chloe from Flourish & Flo, I created my own toolkit for healing."

  1. As a busy mum and business owner, how do you manage to balance your personal life and professional responsibilities?

"I am blessed with an amazing co-parenting ex-husband and supportive family. Managing two businesses, I prioritize flexibility to spend quality time with my kids (50/50 custody) and prioritize my mental health. Outsourcing tasks like social media to experts allows me time for self-care: Pilates, massages, breathwork, and journaling."

  1. Can you share some of the personal struggles with mental health that motivated you to create a sanctuary for wellbeing?

"Struggling with mental health from a young age, I explored various treatments without significant change. I realised healing required readiness and a personalised toolkit."

  1. What was the initial vision for Studio Exhale, and how has it evolved since its inception?

"Originally a reformer pilates studio idea, I expanded to a holistic hub for multiple services and women-centric events."We embrace inclusivity, my life experience, and a commitment to sharing openly. Our motto: 'Where mindfulness meets movement.'"

Studio Exhale offers more than reformer pilates:

  • Reformer Pilates: Strengthen core and flexibility.
  • Infrared Sauna + Cold Plunge: Temperature therapy for rejuvenation.
  • Flourish & Flo Services: Breathwork, holistic massage therapy, and Reiki energy alignment."
  1. How important is the community aspect to the mission of Studio Exhale?

"Community is our heartbeat, offering a safe space for women to connect and support one another."

  1. What are your future goals for Studio Exhale? Are there any upcoming projects or expansions you’re excited about?

"We plan to expand our services and continue fostering a supportive environment."

  1. Lastly, can you share a mantra or quote that you live by and that resonates with the philosophy of Studio Exhale?

"Embrace healing, empower community."
